Yoga structured for office schedules
Umorti organizes yoga sessions built specifically around how office environments work — short time windows, desk fatigue, and the need for something that fits between meetings rather than replacing the workday.
What Umorti offers
Three formats, one practical goal
Each format was built around a specific office scenario — not as a one-size-fits-all solution, but as a response to how real teams actually operate.
Group Desk Sessions
Designed for teams of four to sixteen people who share an open office or meeting room. Sessions run 25–40 minutes and require no equipment beyond a chair. The focus is on the upper spine, shoulders, and hip flexors — the areas most affected by seated desk work.
Delivered live online or on-site in Taber and surrounding areas
One-on-One Plan
For an employee dealing with a specific physical issue — chronic neck tension, lower back tightness, or post-injury return to activity — a private plan is mapped out session by session. The instructor adjusts each practice based on feedback from the previous one.
Flexible scheduling, weekly check-in included
Monthly Wellness Block
A structured monthly arrangement for companies that want consistency rather than ad hoc bookings. Includes a recurring group session cadence, optional individual slots, and a brief monthly debrief between the instructor and the HR or team lead contact.
Minimum commitment: one month, no long-term contracts
Getting started
From first message to first session
Plenty of companies have tried generic wellness subscriptions and found them unused after the first month. Umorti starts with a conversation instead of a contract, which tends to produce something people actually show up to.
mail Get in touchShort intake call
A 15-minute conversation covers the team size, typical schedule constraints, any known physical limitations, and what's been tried before. No paperwork, no forms to fill out in advance.
Session format proposal
Based on the intake, Umorti proposes a specific format — cadence, duration, delivery method. Iona Krest, the lead instructor, writes this up personally and explains the reasoning behind each choice.
Trial session, no obligation
A single trial session runs before any arrangement is confirmed. Teams get to experience the actual practice style before committing. Adjustments are normal and expected at this stage.
Ongoing sessions + adjustments
Regular sessions begin on an agreed schedule. Feedback is collected after each block, and the program shifts accordingly — what works well gets more space, what doesn't gets replaced.
Who this works for
Office settings where this fits naturally
Umorti's format has been running since 2019. The clients who find it most useful share a common situation: a team that sits for most of the workday, leadership that wants to do something concrete about physical wellness, and a preference for something that can be woven into existing schedules without disruption.
- Administrative offices with staff working five or more hours at a desk daily
- Remote or hybrid teams whose HR leads are looking for a shared activity that works across time zones
- Small businesses where one or two employees deal with recurring back or shoulder tension
- Companies in Taber and the surrounding region who want a local specialist rather than an app
